If you are new to Internet betting, chances are you’re wondering what the best casino games are, or what everyone is playing. This is a difficult question to answer; because everyone’s inclinations are different, everyone will have a different opinion on just what constitutes the best casino games; accordingly, the most popular casino games will vary according to players’ tastes, the particular casino, and even what new casino games may currently be in vogue.

All About Slots

The old “one-armed bandit” is practically iconic of Las Vegas-style casino gaming, and has a heritage going back over 120 years. Although the best online blackjack tables attract many of those who enjoy card games, slots currently seems to top the list of the most popular casino games.

One reason that casino gamblers consider slots to be one of the best casino games is because it is entirely based on chance; no particular skills are needed, therefore “newbies” are frequently attracted to the best online slots. It’s also very non-threatening; since one is playing by, and against one’s self, there’s no outside pressure or judgment when losing.

The main attraction of slots however is the adrenaline rush and resultant flow of endorphins. Playing the best online slots can be highly addictive, due to the fact that when they pay out, they can pay out bit. The opportunity to win a million dollars or more in one fell swoop is irresistible to most of us. This is one reason that the best online slots are also considered to be the best casino games, whether land-based or online.

Card Games

Traditional card games such as poker and blackjack are also among the top casino games played online. There is little agreement as to which site offers the best online blackjack, but some sites allow one to download “practice” games that can simply be played for pleasure – or used to sharpen one’s skills in preparing to play for real money at the best blackjack online casino.

Other Top Casino Games

Video poker is the original cyber-version of one of the top casino games in the U.S.A., dating from the 1970s when the first personal computers arrived on store shelves. Like the best online blackjack, video poker allows the skilled player to have an edge over the house – although bluffing will probably not work as well as in the real world.

New casino games online include roulette, baccarat and keno. The online gamer will even find virtual bingo parlors on the World Wide Web. Whatever you consider to be the best casino games on the strip in Las Vegas, chances are you’ll find them online as well.

There are many ways to utilize social media in your casino player development and/or casino marketing campaigns. Each and every casino should consider the wonderful opportunities that lie at their fingertips now with such sites as Twitter, LinkedIn, Facebook, and YouTube, just to name a few.

There are no staff members of any departments at the casino more suited for the social media arena than those of the player development team. The outgoing, gregarious personalities of these employees, make them perfect candidates to be trained extensively and appropriately in the various techniques that make social media for business successful.

For the first time in history, casinos have the opportunity to utilize the power of the web in creating expertise, authority, and, even, celebrity status, for their casino hosts and player development executives. With blogging, article marketing, video marketing, and, specifically, social media, the opportunities for loyalizing guests and prospecting for new guests is limitless. The tools and techniques available now offers any savvy marketing professional the opportunity to create systems that are not only effective, but automated, and seamless.

Whether the casino chooses to concentrate most of their efforts on communicating more effectively with current players or in seeking to recruit new players, social media offers an outstanding medium for doing both. For the first time, it is easy for a coded VIP guest to introduce “their host” to another potential guest, via a medium such as Facebook. Suddenly, the prospective guest is “in the loop” and a part of the host family prior to ever actually visiting the casino. This only makes the desire to visit the casino and meet the executive host in person even more profound.

Any casino who wants to have a wider, far-reaching impact on their target audience should concentrate a substantial amount of their casino player development efforts in the social arena. By joining and establishing a presence in many different social networking sites, the casino host can quickly and efficiently provide important messages to many people simultaneously. This can reduce the amount of time the host has to spend in telemarketing or direct mail efforts, thus, freeing up his/her time for one-on-one meetings with the guests.

Overall, the social media platform, is a win-win situation for not only the executive host and casino, but also for the gaming patron. These networks have made it simple for both the business and the customer to correspond quickly and often. Any casino player development personnel seeking to continue to grow relationships with their guests should capitalize on this wonderful opportunity.

Casino-themed parties are fun, entertaining and perfect for a variety of occasions. One way to set up casino party games is to have a number of “dealers”, plenty of play money (or the real thing if you and your guests are brave!) and a couple of tables set up with different games. Below are two casino party games that work well.

“Beat the Dealer” Casino Party Game

This game, one of the more popular casino party games, is played one-on-one with the dealer. The dealer turns over a single card, and the player must decided if the next card to be turned over will be higher or lower (aces are high). Once an incorrect guess is made the game ends, and prizes are awarded based on the number of consecutive correct guesses.

“High-Rolling Two-Up” Casino Party Game

As far as casino party games go, you can’t get much simpler than simplified two-up. All that is required for this casino party game are two coins, a long, flat piece of wood or something similar, and a reasonably open area in which to play. The “dealer” uses the wood to flip the two coins, and the players bet on whether the two coins will land on heads, tails or one of each. Players double their “money” with a correct head-head or tail-tail guess, and win 4 times their bet with a correct head-tail guess.

As part of a themed party, casino party games can be hugely entertaining, regardless of whether you win or lose. It really doesn’t take a lot to recreate a little bit of Vegas in your own lounge-room!

Casino war is one of the simplest casino games to play. The game originates from a card game played by kids called War. And like the rest of the less complex games, Casino War has a relatively high house edge.

The game is played in a purposely built table similar to Blackjack, and up to a seven players can play at a time. A standard six decks of card decks is used. Each card is ranked according to its numerical face value, the ace being the highest card and two is the lowest. The suit of the cards has no significance in the game.

The game goes this way. First the dealer deals one card to each player in a clockwise direction starting from the player in his left, and a card to himself. The cards dealt to the players are then compared to the dealer’s card, and whichever card has the highest value wins. For example, say you play in the game and you are dealt a nine and the dealer is dealt a Jack. So you lose the game. The dealer will take your bet and your card and a new deal starts again.

In case of Tie, that is, when both the player and the dealer is dealt a card with the same numerical value, the player has two options to make:

* The player may surrender his card, which means that he automatically loses half of his bet and a new deal starts again.

* The player may “go to war”, which means that the player must place an additional bet equal to his original bet, and a card will be dealt to both the player and the dealer hand.

When a player goes to war, the dealer first burns three cards before he deals a card to both the player and the dealer hand. If the player’s card is ranked higher than or the same as the dealer’s, then the player wins an amount equal to the size of the original bet. If the dealer’s card is ranked higher than the player’s, the player loses both the original bet and the “going to war” bet. For example, say you bet one unit in your hand and you “go to war”. So you have to put up another one unit bet. You have now two units of bet in the table. If you win, you win only one unit, but if you lose, you lose two units.

A lot of gamblers are asking where the casino gets its advantage in Casino War. While it is true that the players’ winning chance is 50% since the winning bet is paid 1 is to 1, but the 1 is to 1 payoff becomes untrue in case of a tie. The truth is it is in Tie where the casino gets its edge. Remember that in Tie, the player either surrenders, or “go to war”. When a player surrenders, he automatically loses half of his bet, which gives the casino close to 4% edge on the bet, and when a player goes to war, he only wins one unit in his two unit bet. Overall, the house edge in Casino War is close to 3%, making it one of the casino’s sucker games, and like the rest of the sucker games, Casino War should also be avoided.
